Call for musicians
Do you want to perform at a Neighbours Day porch party this year?
If you’re a solo performer, duo, or band (instrumental or vocal), we want to hear from you!
Every year up to 50 local musicians participate in Neighbours Day pop-up concerts across the city hosted by residents on their porches, driveways, front lawns or street parties.
All musical genres and cultures are welcome, from pop, rock, country, jazz, or classical, to celtic, reggae, latin, bhangra, afrobeat, samba, and many more! We celebrate the rich variety of musical styles from around the world and our diverse community.
- Performers are available for two concerts, each about one hour, at staggered times scheduled throughout the afternoon
- The organizers will assign performers their concert locations
- Performances can be acoustic or amplified
- Musicians must provide their own equipment and transportation
- Performers will receive an honourarium from the City for their time and travel
Applications are now closed for Neighbours Day 2025.
We will be in contact with successful applicants by March 31 to confirm availability.
Host a Neighbours Day Concert
We are looking for 100 residents who are interested in hosting a musican/group for a one-hour performance on their porch, driveway, or front yard for their neighbours to enjoy!
You are welcome to build additional neighbourhood activities around the concert that you host (examples: barbecue, sidewalk chalk display, scavenger hunt). Some funding may also be available to help you host your Neighbours Day event!
